If you are planning a summer vacay to the Ibería Peninsula this summer, be sure to check out the Nintendo Switch Tour as it hits 19 of Spain’s beautiful cities. Starting July 1st, 2024 Nintendo Iberia, aka Nintendo Spain, will be taking a road trip around Spain to bring some of its latest games to anyone who wishes to play them on their demo booths at the pop-up event. Starting in Cádiz and then working it’s way around the coast, attendees will be able to play the likes of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, Princess Peach: Showtime! and Nintendo Switch Sports.
As of yet, there are 13 towns that have confirmed dates with another 6 towns to still to confirm. If you would like to know more about the Nintendo Switch Summer Tour, please check out the official press release below. As for the confirmed towns and dates, they are as follows:

Mario and his friends choose Cádiz as their first stop of the summer Nintendo Switch Tour
Nintendo’s traditional summer tour, which will travel more than 2,500 km and visit 19 Spanish cities, will start on July 1 and 2 in the capital of Cadiz. Attendees will be able to try video games such as Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, Princess Peach: Showtime! or Nintendo Switch Sports.
Madrid, June 25, 2024 –Siesta, beach, ice cream… and a while of video games with family or friends. Is there a better plan for a summer afternoon? Starting on July 1, 19 Spanish coastal cities will be visited by the Nintendo Switch Tour, and will be able to enjoy a fun, free after-beach plan, perfect for enjoying in company and suitable for all audiences (clumsy with controls included) . Nintendo’s now traditional summer tour will have more stages this year than ever, and will start on July 1 and 2 in Cádiz. The tents, located in the central Plaza de San Antonio, will begin their activity at six in the afternoon, with 36 gaming positions, and will be open until 12 at night, to take advantage of the cooler hours of the day. Cádiz residents will be able to play titles like Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, Princess Peach: Showtime! or Nintendo Switch Sports.
The main protagonists of the tour will be Mario and his friends: Luigi, Peach, Toad, Daisy, Yoshi… Characters who, with almost 40 years of history, are a global icon of friendly fun for several generations: from those who enjoyed the adventures of Super Mario on Game Boy to those who have discovered the character on Nintendo Switch or even on the big screen. In the Nintendo tents, attendees will be able to accompany Princess Peach on the mission to save the Splendor theater, in Princess Peach; Showtime!; help the cowardly Luigi recover the fragments of the Dark Moon (watch out for ghosts!) in Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD; or choose your favorite character from the Mario universe in the platforms of Super Mario Bros Wonder or in the car races of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. And, when the time comes to say goodbye, I’m sure everyone, no matter how old they are, will enjoy taking a souvenir photo on Mario’s iconic pipe, which will also travel along the entire Spanish coast.Mario games are perfect to enjoy in company, thanks to their bright and friendly character, their multiplayer modes and their facilities so that the most novices can enjoy them from the first moment: Super Mario Bros. Wonder, for example, has invulnerable characters enemies, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has a “steering wheel mode” to pilot the cars more intuitively. Of course, they are also full of challenges and hidden surprises so that the most skilled at the controls will find challenges to their level.
In addition to the different options from the Mario universe, visitors to the Nintendo Switch Tour will be able to enjoy Nintendo Switch Sports, a fun sports simulation title suitable for novices and experts and perfect to share with family or friends. This game does not require learning complicated button combinations: just imitate rackets, balls or lunges with your body so that the Joy-Con controller sensors transfer these movements to the screen. In addition, throughout the summer a new sport will arrive on Nintendo Switch Sports, basketball. With the incorporation of this discipline, the title will have a total of eight different sports modalities.
After inaugurating the tour in Cádiz, the Nintendo tents will continue their itinerary along the Andalusian coast, visiting cities such as Conil, El Puerto de Santa María (both in Cádiz) and Málaga.
